Key Fob and Instant Art Kit

I just left the key fob last night at Sam Hill's in Columbia Tennessee. The other piece will be at a mystery location. Whoever finds the instant art kit will have some work to do. It is filled will all sorts of bits and pieces and words to glue together into a collage. I wish I could see the finished product.'
Have fun!

Rocky Mountain Art Leavings

We just got back from Breckenridge, Colorado from a ski trip. I left several pieces around at places in the village. Some on trees, a bench in a pavillion with a fire pit, the restroom by the Quicksilver lift, a restaurant called The Maggie, and with a lady in a gallery of pet art which is the Huneck Gallery of Breckenridge. The gallery is full of pet art. It features the art of Steven Huneck and D D Larue along with various other artists. They are both so prolific and their art is humorous and inspiring. I had a blast.

Magnetic Personality

I'm going on a trip to Chattanooga this weekend to help my son and daughter-in-law move so I thought I would take a few pieces to scatter around. These are refrigerator magnets that made from a palette I used after the paint was swirled all around. They are collaged with words, beads, buttons, netting, and wire, and then covered with clear glue. I may make a few other things also.

Mystery Muse Gift

This is a piece that I made for a stranger, so I guess that it is kind of like found art. I signed up with Artella Words and Art for a Mystery Muse art exchange. I had fun making this, but was a little nervous about sending it because I didn't know the person and her taste in art. I just received a thank you email from her so my mind is at ease now. Still checking the mail for my mystery gift.

Pins to Find

Here are three pins that I made from a styrofoam tray that I was using for a palette. The colors looked so cool, I cut it into strips and looked at it for a few days, wondering what to make out of it. Finally I decided to collage some pins. They have magazine words, netting, heart glitter, and buttons. Add a pin back and voila'-art from trash. I left two at the YMCA and still have one to leave. Finders...enjoy!

Fun in Florida

Well, I'm back from Florida. It was a quick trip but fun. I left three of my pieces at a resturant by the marina in St. Augustine called The Conch House. They had great sea food, live music, and very interesting carved wood totems everywhere. I hung one of my pieces on a carving, one on a pier, and my sister-in-law hung one on a bush. My last piece was hung in the restroom at the Nashville Airport. I also made a picture with seashell pieces on the beach and wrote my web address in the sand under it. Couldn't resist. I collected a lot of shells to use to make jewelry and mixed media pieces and took lots of photos to use in my collages. The ocean is so inspiring.

New Territory

I'm planning a trip to St. Augustine, FL and I have made a few new pieces to scatter there. Some are my old images that I have used before. The new one is the one with the Statue of Liberty. It's nice to leave some in new territory.
